This course will teach students how to correctly wire motor starters, electric motors, contactors, switches, etc.  The course is designed to provide the students hands-on experience using real equipment used in industrial settings.
title1bThe Programmable Logic Controls course provides an overview to the set up, configuration, and programming of of Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLCs.

The student will learn how to physically set up the PLC, and then how to correctly program the PLC for use in an industrial setting.
title1bThe ControlLogix Systems course provides training in the use and programming of ControlLogix
Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLCs.

The course also instructs the students in using the RSLogix software used to control the ControlLogix
PLCS.

This curriculum combines Programmable Logic Controls and ControlLogix.  Programmable Logic Controls  was focused on the SLC 5xxx series of Allen Bradley Processors.  These processors have reached End-of-Life (EOL) and are no longer supported by Allen Bradley or Rockwell Automation.  The replacement for this series is the ControlLogix and CompactLogix Controllers.  The industry now refers to them as PACs or Programmable Automation Controllers.
